“Coping with the Issues of Life” by Sis. Perri
Hello most beloved people of the MOST HIGH GOD!!!
I know it has been awhile and I am sorry for that! Please forgive me my sisters and brothers. Moving on, I have decided to just give a little at a time (lol) for all of us to ponder so here we go…
One day I was feeling overwhelmed by the issues of life that were trying to choke all the joy out of my heart, relationships, and happiness in my walk with OUR Father and Most Loved One of ALL!!!
Webster says that an “issue” is a vital or unsettled matter (economic issues); concern, problem.
Webster also defines “coping” as a strike, fight; to maintain a contest or combat usually on even terms or with success–used with; and to deal with and attempt to overcome problems and difficulties.
Now, let’s hear what OUR Father says:
Proverbs 4:23 says, “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.” Also, Matthew 13:22 says, “The thorny ground represents those who hear and accept the Good News, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the cares of this life and the lure of wealth, so no crop is produced.”
The Lord told me, “Child, when things get confusing in your life and the issues attempt to overtake you…You Must slow it all down and step back from the issues and situations to review them clearly.”
Thus says God;
In Stillness……….Truth will surface
In doubt…………..Confusion mounts
In torment……….Pain reigns
In anger…………..Sin rages
Yet I (the Lord) say;
“In PEACE…………..You are given the plan of strength (this is the strategy game plan of how to overcome the issues of life)
May I suggest a 4 step game plan (for whoever desires it) that will help cope with any issue and ultimately, through God, you will overcome. This is His promise to all His people so let’s take heart and be strong and courageous!
Step 1. You must STOP reacting to the issue and pull back
Step 2. Get on your knees and go directly to God in prayer
Step 3. I urge you my sisteren and brotheren (lol) to do as I do–REPENT and ask for forgiveness of any and all sins.
Step 4. Ask God to give you peace in your heart, soul, mind and body. Also ask for godly wisdom, understanding and direction of how to get through whatever issue that’s facing you.
The Holy Ghost strategy will come in when these various emotions are subdued, then peace is released which will help you. The Holy Ghost will counsel you to make better choices and decisions about your life; can give you direction of which way to go and destroy the useless issues (what I refer to as needless pains to bear); gain wisdom in how to cope and deal with the serious issues; and gain strength to overcome them ALL through Christ who strengthens us. Phil. 4:13

Hello Amazing Woman of God! I must apologize for not responding to your previous post, but then you come and bust me across the head and deal directly with where the Body of Christ is. About a month ago I was broken hearted by a dear friend who just abruptly walked away from me without any explanation. I must admit this left me messed up because I did not expect this. I became shocked, hurt, then angry and confused. Then around 2:30AM on yesterday I was awakened and the person’s name checked in my spirit so I began to pray until I got a release. I have prayed and asked God to remove the soul tie and I have moved on, but when you said, one must step back and review the situation, I did not do that. I actually decided that I was not going to left anyone every get that close to me again. I think my problem is I love my friends too hard and will be there for them through the thick and thin and still love them when the same is not returned because my love is unconditional. God is so good to have his servant bless me with this on time word. I thank God for you and ask that you pray for me that God removes the Spirit of Rejection out of my life once and for all.

Hey sis perri, good comments. I pray that we all recognize and implement the words of wisdom in this four step process. I truly believe The Lord wants to equip us to walk with understanding and cease walking in a flashback and wound up mode. Sister Perri: Amazing vessel of the Most High God, thank you. I wish I had that word before I went to court today, but I’m glad I have it now before I go any further with this “issue”.
I HAVE TO let you know that I received the Prophetic Flows last friday. I have played Vol 1 everyday this week and it is truly a worship CD. It is so annointed that I am “arrested” at this point and can’t get past Vol. 1, I’ve yet to play Vol. 2! “Surrender” is for those wanting to go straight to the Throne Room. I praise God for your life and your ministry.
Thank you for being obedient to the Lord for this Word. This message came at a time when I am experiencing issues in my marriage. Just this morning I prayed and asked God to forgive the sin in my life. I have also forgiven my husband for the pain he has caused. I want to be free in spirit to do what God wants me to do. My prayer has been that God restore our marriage, deliver my husband, and to change things in me to be a better wife that God has called me to be.
My heart has been so heavy today. My prayer to God was a brief cry of help. My troubles had begin to way me down. Then I get this email from you. That quick God answered my prayer. Not only was this msg what I needed to hear but so was sis Sharon Hills’. I thank God for you ladies. I really needed the encouragement.
Thank you for the message today. I was dealing with issues when your message dropped into my email box. Taken the time to read your message helped me to deal with those issues. I stood still, prayed and an immediate feeling of relief came over me and I realized that those issues were no match for God. to God be the glory for the things he has done.
Wow! This message is what I really needed to hear today. My issue of life is trying to find an affordable, clean, safe apartment. I need to do this by April 30.I kept telling myself that I will trust God to lead me to the right apartment, but I find myself becoming anxious about this. I find myself looking at apartments in other areas, than what I would like. I just finished walking through your 4 step process, and I will trust God to be my guide.
I saw you on TBN and the Spirit of God is with you and that is wonderful, and I pray that He continues to use you mightily to turn the popularity that you had as Pebbles into more abundance for His glory. The Lord is using me as a Resident Assistant at a Women’s Center in New York, and I also wrote a book of prayers called Chaste Disciples 4 Christ – our women are precious and glorious and it is not because we say it but He said that when He made us He called His work – GOOD

Thank you Sister Perri! I could feel your pure ‘Release of Love’,and it is such a Blessing and such a calming influence! It just broke up whatever worldly cares,tensions, and preoccupations I had and reawakened me to what is really important.
I was reminded of 2 scriptures – “Be still and know that I am God”, and Jesus’s last command to His apostles “Love one another as I have loved you”.

Right now I’m speechless because the awesome power of God has spoken through you, and to my very situation. I was drowning yesterday in my issues and could not see or hear God. I even went so far as to admit defeat in my situation. I know that this is a word from God and you can’t even imagine what I’m feeling right now. Continue to press into the things of God because He’s using you to help people like me. I appreciate you, I thank God for you, and I love you for speaking the truth.

This a ‘Word’ from the bible that has ministered strength as well as hope in knowing that even though I may mess-up and fall short some times, GOD forever has a remedy to my ‘issue’ in the ‘WORD’:
(Hosea 14:4)-
“I will heal their faithlessness; I will love them freely, for My anger is turned away from [Israel].”
(Joel 2:12,13)-
“Therefore also now, says the LORD turn and keep on coming to ME with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning [until every hinderance is removed and the broken fellowship is restored.]”
“Rend your hearts and not your garments and return to the LORD, your GOD, for HE is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in loving-kindness; and HE revokes HIS sentence of evil[when HIS conditions are met.]

God truly is an on time God with a word like this. I’m 19 and I was feeling overwhelmed. It seemes like everything was turning for worst. But i can say i feel better now that I have a plan to follow. Thanks for letting God use you.
God is truly an on time God. I am being challenged in my body and my finances. I know that it is just to get my eyes off of Jesus, however I was having a hard time trying to receive the peace to know that God knows everything I am going through and he has a word for me. He sent you my beloved Sister. I pray for your strength in God because he is indeed using you mightily in North Carolina.

Issues….we all have them. How do we deal with them? I found that most of the time when it’s an issue that I’m dealing with from past or of old, I have a tendency to not want to confront it nor even acknowledment that I even have one. God has been dealing with me in the area of pride, control, insecurtiy, jealousy, and anger. These things stem from my childhood, when rejection came in. Now I’m at a crossroad, to make a decision of whether or not I “want” to continue to allow these things to control my life or not. I must give these things over to God. I must allow His word to wash over my heart. As long as I live I will have issues….but I gotta grow up and learn to how to deal with them in a mature manner. If not I know they will continue to hinder my walk ann intimacy with my Father. I am sharing because I’m sure their are many other women or men of God that deal with some of the same things. Yet I know that even as my testimony goes forward God is moving on my heart. The Holy spirit is giving me a spirit of repentance..for being “willing” holding on to these things for so long. I can not control life or other people so I firmly choose to make a deicision to now trust God. I am no better than anyone else, but I am willing….to allow God to begin to change my heart. How about you? May all that read this be blessed and encouraged that the UNcreated God who made us can also change us if we’re willing.Thank you Sister Perri for the insight into this matter.

Thanks for that message Sister Perri. I like the 4 steps, especially #4. Truly when stress sets in, it does so in all of those departments- your heart, mind, soul and body. But what do you do when you’re praying for the peace in the midst of your situation and still don’t feel it? I’ve had times when life is challenging (doing things I know God has called me to do)- I’ve prayed not that the situation would change, but that I would have peace in the midst of it. There have been times when I prayed for peace, stood on the scriptures regarding peace, and still didn’t feel it (I still felt stressed out). I never understood why I didn’t feel the peace. Any thoughts???
This was a Word from God for me. I have been batteling this spirit at my job for months. I was recently promoted and she ended up being promoted too (and became my boss). Now everyday is termoil, and I am struggling to exemplify christ. But the spirit upon her is a decietful, and manipulative one, that will play nice-but will be trying to burn you latter. She has tried to do harm to my position before, but God turned it around for my good (thus my promotion). I was just about to give up and jut leave the job because I was tired of the stress and termoil associated with her…but you encouraged me to keep fighting. Thank you for allowing God to use you. Regarding the issues of life, all Christians experience trials/tribulation/persecution from the world. Your 4 Steps are key! Oftentimes, people have a tendency to react to situations as opposed to stepping back and evaluating what happened. Pulling back and going before God in prayer MUST be done. We need to hand our burdens and problems over to Him and ask for His wisdom to fix it instead of thinking we can fix it ourselves. JESUS can definitely FIX IT!!!

I am still overly impressed with your Theology. For someone who did not apparently go to Seminary you are Wise beyond that of many ’so called Preachers’. THE LORD TRULY HAD A BIGGER PLAN 4 YOUR LIFE, BEYOND US LOVING YOUR HUMMINGBIRD VOICE, LOL.
I have been a fan since I was 12, but your conversion several years ago was Truly Triumphant.(PHOENIX OUT OF THE FLAMES) I spent most of my early life surrounded by a Pastoral enviorment in a secluded small church school that deeply affected my life to this day. I even thought about becoming a NUN LOL, since I’m Lutheran I did not; I’m a teacher, that is enough suffering lol. I totally understand and appreciate everything you “Taught & Re-itterated” in this blog session ‘Pastor Perri’, I don’t think Sister Perri will quite do it anymore, lol.
I have always been taught to pray for Wisdom, and to “turn away Rath, and anger”, to pray for Peace & Humility. Sometimes when someone you love hurts you, its’ utterly hard to do. (Family, friends, mates) I’ve been ill for going on ten yrs soon, and that wisdom, peace, and kindess helped me through my illness. The Lord blessed me I believe because I continued to have faith in the darkest days, not just for myself but for my Mother, I’m only 30 and I got sick in college. I wrote you before, I was almost bedridden then,and barely walking on a cane, pushed around in a wheelchair at 25 yrs old, now I am going back into teaching. PERRI THE LORD IS TRULY KING, AMEN!!!!

You know the exposure that is required when we openly share and confess out struggles, is evidence that in the heart, God’s people desire to change and to grow. Must you continually scrape my head to the white meat????? I guess so if that is what will get and keep me on the right path with JESUS. Coping with the issues of life will drain you if you don’t put it all in GOD’S hands. HE knows us better than we know ourselves and wants to take the pressure off of us if we let HIM. After reading what was in your heart I am going to let GOD take the pressure (cast my cares on HIM) and just love on HIM. Boy, being a real christian ain’t no joke. I must admit, the first step gets me everytime. Stop reacting to the situation. Before I can think straight, I start reacting. Whether it’s shown on the outside or a major battle in my head. I must get a hold on this strong hold, so I will began to put in practice these 4 steps. Thanks for sharing this Godly wisdom! thank you for the wonderful blog it’s amazing how you learn something new if you take time to find out whats on the hearts of others you actually find out it not only strengthens your heart, but it encourages you with a fresh newness of God! I praise God for making me victorious over my issues, you know a lot of people don’t have to carry issues for we are overcomers by the blood of the lamb. Just by you looking up the word issue brought a sharp awareness of it to me, and not someone just saying “YOU HAVE ISSUES”! lol! Believing and having faith that God will move are our next steps. I too will continue on the 4 step process and allow God to move through my issues.
